Pay bus ticket via SMS

From 4 June 2007, you can buy single tickets for Stadstrafiken in Uppsala via your mobile using SMS. For us, it is a way of reducing the amount of cash we handle. For you, it provides another way of saving on the fare you pay.

This is what you do:

Text UV for an adult ticket (SEK 20) or UU for a child’s/youth ticket (SEK 10) to 72472.


In a few seconds a message comes back with the information the bus driver needs to confirm that the message contains a valid ticket. Among other things, the SMS ticket tells you when it expires, which is 90 minutes from when the SMS ticket is sent to your mobile.

Show the message to the driver when you get on the bus. Save the message, just like an ordinary ticket.

It is important that you have ordered and received your SMS ticket before you get on the bus.

You pay for your SMS tickets via your mobile bill or pre paid mobile card. This service is only available for Swedish mobile subscription.
