Information about using your School Travel card on Uppsala city buses

School Travel card, County and Zone 1, valid for Stadstrafiken 09:00 - 15:00. 9-15

School Travel card for compulsory (grundskola) and upper secondary (gymnasieskola) schools.

•   The School Travel card is valid on all school days from 04:00 - during the academic year.
•   The card is not valid on school holidays.
•   The trip home must begin no later than 23:59.
•   The card is valid for two trips per school day.
•   The card must be validated in the card rear by showing the card and pressing the button each time the holder boards the bus, even on transfer trips. When changing buses, the holder must board the transfer bus within 90 minutes of the start of the trip.

Take care of your School Travel card!

The card may not be cut, folded or bent sharply. If the card is damaged due to negligence, the school will charge for a replacement card.

Stolen or lost cards

If you lose your School Travel card, you should promptly contact the person responsible for School Travel cards at your school. You will have to pay a service fee to receive your replacement card, and your old card will be blocked. If your old card turns up, submit it to the person responsible for School Travel cards at your school.

Card error

If your card does not work in the card reader, you should promptly contact the person responsible for School Travel cards at your school.

If you leave school during the school year

If you leave during the academic year you must return your School Travel card to the school no later than your last day of attendance. Otherwise, the school will charge a fee.

Forgot your card

You will have to pay for the whole trip yourself if you forget your School Travel card at home.
